چکیده

A new method for the automated selection of colour features is described. The algorithm consists of two stages of processing. In the first, a complete set of colour features is calculated for every object of interest in an image. In the second stage, each object is mapped into several ndimensional feature spaces in order to select the feature set with the smallest variables able to discriminate the remaining objects. The evaluation of the discriminate power for each concrete subset of features is performed by means of decision trees composed of linear discriminate functions. This method can provide valuable help in outdoor scene analysis where no colour space has been demonstrated as being the most suitable. Experiment results recognizing objects in outdoor scenes are reported.

Application of Combined Local Object Based Features and Cluster Fusion for the Behaviors Recognition and Detection of Abnormal Behaviors

In this paper, we propose a novel framework for behaviors recognition and detection of certain types of abnormal behaviors, capable of achieving high detection rates on a variety of real-life scenes. The new proposed approach here is a combination of the location based methods and the object based ones. First, a novel approach is formulated to use optical flow and binary motion video as the loc...

Non-parametric Clasification of Pixels Under Varying Outdoor Illumination

Using color for visual recognition outdoors has proven to be a difficult problem, chiefly due to varying illumination. Attempts to classify pixels or image patches in outdoor scenes based on their RGB values often fail, partly because of the inadequacy of the feature set, but partly because of color shifts due to changes in illumination are not well modeled as random noise. Approaches which att...

Urban Vegetation Recognition Based on the Decision Level Fusion of Hyperspectral and Lidar Data

Introduction: Information about vegetation cover and their health has always been interesting to ecologists due to its importance in terms of habitat, energy production and other important characteristics of plants on the earth planet. Nowadays, developments in remote sensing technologies caused more remotely sensed data accessible to researchers. The combination of these data improves the obje...

Color machine vision for autonomous vehicles

Color can be a useful feature in autonomous vehicle systems that are based on machine vision, for tasks such as obstacle detection, lane/road following, and recognition of miscellaneous scene objects. Unfortunately, few existing autonomous vehicle systems use color to its full extent, largely because color-based recognition in outdoor scenes is complicated, and existing color machine vision tec...
